Vitamix Propel 510 Review & Best Deals 2023

Vitamix released two new Propel Series blenders, the Propel 510 and 750, offering the iconic Vitamix performance and convenient blending programs.

Propel 510 is an exceptional choice for a home with one or two people. It has three blending programs for Smoothies, Frozen Desserts, and Hot Soups

It features a powerful 2-HP motor, a 48-oz container, a 5-Year full warranty, and an easy-to-use variable speed control with a pulse switch

The Propel 510 is a better and more powerful alternative to the entry-level Explorian E310, as it has almost the same specs except for the blending programs and built quality!

Here is my quick, hands-on review of the Vitamix Propel 510 with insights on how it compares to other Vitamix models and everything you need to know in 2024!

Vitamix Propel 510 Review: Key Features & Benefits

The Vitamix Propel 510’s build quality and design look like a refreshed version of the Vitamix Pro 750 but with the features of the Explorian E310

2-Horsepower Motor Base

The Vitamix Propel 510 has a 2-horsepower motor. It’s the same professional-grade motor power you get with the Vitamix E310.

It’s powerful enough to make bar-quality crushed ice, turn hard vegetables and fruits into silky-smooth smoothies, hot soups, and much more!

The motor base has a radial cooling fan and thermal protection system for optimal performance and enhanced lifespan.

Variable Speed Control Knob with 3 Presets + Pulse

The Vitamix Propel 510 features analog-style control settings that are super easy to use, even for someone new to Vitamix blenders!

  • An elegant variable speed control knob is in the middle to manually adjust its speed settings from 1 to 10 and use the three preset programs.
  • On one end of the knob is a pulse switch to precisely control and fine-tune the blend texture, and an On/Off switch on the other.

These control settings of the Propel 510 are similar to that of the Vitamix Propel 750. The only difference is the blending programs.

Propel 750 has five, including Self-Clealing, while Vitamix Propel 510 has three for Smoothies, Frozen Desserts, and Hot Soups.

Other exterior design features and styles are similar for both blenders, including a power switch in the front of the blender base with blue LED light.

48-oz Container + Mini Tamper

The Vitamix Propel 510 has a 48-oz container that has a narrow design. It’s perfect for preparing single-serve to medium-sized recipes.

It’s made of BPA-free Eastman Tritan plastic approved by the FDA for preparing cold and steaming hot food for human consumption.

It has 3-inch aircraft-grade, laser-cut stainless steel blades that work by pulverizing the ingredients at high speeds to ensure consistency.

Vitamix Propel 750

When using the Hot Soup blending program, the blades spin at high speed, creating friction heat that turns cold ingredients to steaming hot in a few minutes.

My favorite feature is the black lid that tightly snaps in place to prevent splattering when blending liquids, even at full capacity!

The lid has a small clear-colored lid insert that doubles as an ounce measurer. It plugs where you insert the included mini tamper.

The 48-oz container and all its components, including the lid and lid plug, are self-cleaning and dishwasher-safe!

Vitamix Propel 510 Weight & Size

The Vitamix Propel 510 weighs 9.6 pounds (4.4 kilograms) with the 48-oz container, making it much lighter than the Explorian E310, which weighs 10.5 pounds.

Its motor base measures 9 by 7.5 inches, the same size as the Vitamix Propel 750, but its height is 17.5 inches, including the 48-oz container!

5-Year Full Warranty

The Vitamix Propel 510 has a 5-year full warranty covering everything from parts replacement to labor, performance, and two-way shipping.

Vitamix Propel 510 Review: Final Word & the Best Alternative Blenders!

The Vitamix Propel 510 delivers the iconic Vitamix professional-grade blending performance with three preset programs for walk-away blending convenience.

It has a better design with elegant, easy-to-use control settings, and a 48-oz container, making it an ideal choice for a home with one to two people!

Compared to the entry-level Vitamix E310, the Propel 510 has an improved build quality for enhanced performance, reliability, and durability

But you will need to spend over $100 more on what the Explorian E310 costs and the Propel 510 is still noisy even when blending at lower to medium settings.

That said, I highly recommend the Propel 510 for its exceptional build quality,  straightforward controls, versatility, and impressive performance.

NOTE: I suggest getting the Blendtec Professional 800 if you want a quiet blender. But it costs almost double the Vitamix Propel 510 but runs near-quiet!
